Whether you are visiting the city of Paris for the first time, or living locally and wishing to discover the wealth of gorgeous gardens throughout the 20 arrondissements, my visits can be suited to your desires.
The city of Paris is one of the greenest capitals in Europe, with nearly 500 public gardens, squares, parks and two urban forests. From Roman times to LeNôtre’s classical masterpieces, and into the environmentally friendly gardens of the 21st century, the green spaces of Paris not only reflect the evolution of garden design, they share the history of this city and its people.
My guided tours in both English and French, for private groups from two to 25 people, are a wonderful way to discover the beauty and charm of this city, from a less traditional angle and away from the crowds. By sharing my passion for gardens, plants and flowers I will show you a side of Paris that is often underestimated or overlooked.
The tours can be adapted to your interests, whether you are an established professional, an amateur gardener, a student or a family with children. Group or indiviual tours from 180€ for 2 hours.
Originally from upstate New York, I did my undergraduate studies in Boston, before moving to Paris in 1989. I then spent a year at the Sorbonne learning the French language and falling in love with both the way of life and the beauty of Paris. Having worked first in advertising and then in retail, I orientated my career towards my passion for flowers, and began my floral decorating business in 1994 with such clients as Ladurée and the U.S. Ambassador's Residence as well as a private clientèle within the expatriate community. I extended my career into guided garden walks in 2006, by giving botanical tours for the Parks Department of the City of Paris in their many wonderful public gardens in both English and French. Since then, my business has expanded and I now offer tours for travel agencies, groups and individual private tours of the parks and landscapes of Paris and environs.
